Hippo Leisure are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team

Hippo Leisure is a part of Manuplas Ltd (a division of Advanced Insulation) and specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of interactive water play equipment. We have a vacancy for Project Engineer based at our facility in Plymouth.

The primary function of the Project Engineer role is assisting with the efficient running of projects both from the office and on site as required. Supporting the business development manager, design engineer and subcontractors across all sites.

The role will suit an enthusiastic individual who enjoys being part of a small but very busy team, has good coordinating skills and communicates well with others.

Responsibilities & requirements for the role are outlined below:

 

  • To assist the delivery of projects on time, in full to an agreed, prioritised business scope.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • To ensure that all directly lead projects are managed using a well-defined project plan encompassing all relevant cross functional activities and required resource.
  • To deliver against agreed project tasks and work with the Hippo Leisure team to remove roadblocks to delivery, escalate issues to management when appropriate.
  • To be responsible for stakeholder engagement and communication of progress of the projects within Hippo Leisure.
  • To provide best practice project guidance to the Hippo Leisure team.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key suppliers & clients in the delivery of projects and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
  • Provide assistance to operations and manufacturing departments as required.
